Going to eat more, worry less

Thanks to every one who weighed in (ha ha) yesterday with my little dilemma.

I'm still not sure how many calories I should be eating; I can't find the page that Amacuba mentioned that's supposed to tell me how many calories to eat. So if you can direct me I'd appreciate it. This site is huge; it's like wandering into New York City by accident.

Anyway, I DID eat more today. It's before dinner and I've already had 750 calories so far instead of my usual 500. I'm NOT starving and I DON'T have a headache. That's a major plus.

I'm a very competitive person (some would say compulsive) but I've got to stop trying to beat Vandal emoticon every week because it's leading to frustration and hey, it's not working anyway. It did in the beginning, but apparently not any more!

So everyone's right; Makambo, I think I AMgoing to relax and just enjoy where I am now. I'll keep exercising and watching what I eat, but MAXIMUM WEEKLY WEIGHT LOSS won't be my focus. I think maintaining where I'm at right now will be my focus. Maybe if I quit obsessing and white-knuckling it, it will just happen!

    Good for you TG! Even I can't compete with Vandal... Even though I weigh more than him, I am a woman going through menopause... so my metabolism is much slower than his! I can boost my metabolism through exercise but there is just so much it can do.

    Do not compare yourself to anyone... Enjoy the moment! emoticon

    Funny thing is, a lot of times when we stop obsessing, that is exactl what happens! I am with you on this. I have been cutting my cals really low, too, and exercising like a maniac, and NOT seeing results. I did my weight/calorie thing, and it said that I need 2,500+ cals to maintain, and to cut it to 1,500, would be a 1,000 calorie/ day deficit. = 2 lbs a week, just through diet. So, I am thinking that I might up my cals a bit, too. We'll see. Good luck!

    Hey there TG, Glad you got your focus - I hope you weren't competing with me on total weight loss cuz you simply can't win that if we both follow the program. I was 110 pounds over my goal and you 50 - I should beat you on pounds so glad to see that's not going to be an issue. Now if I beat you to the target weight well that's something else isn't it?

    Anyway - good blog and I'll quit worrying about you now!!

    I hope Amacuba responds with that webpage since I can't find it either and I want to see it!! AMACUBA where are you??
