Bad New - Good News

Saturday, September 05, 2009

Bad News - I was running from sport to sport with the kiddos today and had to grab food on the fly... I never should have put the stupid Arby's coupons in the van, then I probably would have gone somewhere healthy like Subway instead of eating that JUNK! Really going to have to be a good girl for the rest of the day to balance out.

Good News - I'm posting my mistake instead of just sweeping it under the rug! I play the just-pretend-it-never-happened game with myself really well, and one of my big goals is to stop doing that! I'm also doing great on my water, I'm almost at my goal for the day already.

Now, I beg to differ. Arby's is a lot healthier than McDonald's. Yes, they fry somethings but it's okay if you get themm in a smmall size or eat half a serving. I ocassionally like to eat a beef and cheddar and half serving of mozzarella sticks. That's under 600 calories.

You made me laugh out loud with the coupons. I STILL save all the GOOD ones over the passenger visor because you just never know when you'll need a drive through super buy one get one free 5 pound grease burger. I am so glad your share this because I'm going to pitch them all!!

Good for you. You're on you way to better choices for you and your kids one step at a time!

I had two days in a row where I ate so badly that I was barely in range. The important thing is that you went against your norm and reported and tracked it. Congratulations. Tomorrow is a new day.

Wow, Marg, how do you know me so well already? I DO that so often! "Well THAT blew my day... might as well eat this, and this, ohhh and that too... and how about that over there!!"

    NOT doing that today!

And thanks for the encouragement, Diane. It's so nice to have people who KNOW what you're going through, but won't help you make excuses for your mistakes.

I am glad that you were able to admit that you did not make the best choice. However, do not let this one choice ruin the rest of your choices for the day. Keep pressing forward!

being accountable by tracking it and blogging about it does help. We all have days we make not so good choices, but we learn from our mistakes!!! Keep it up on staying connected here. The support here is amazing. Together we can do this!!! emoticon

I know what you're saying, FAB. I have the "don't beat yourself up" thing down to a science... so much so, that I pretty much forget my mistakes ever happened, which is just as bad as beating up on yourself. I need to find the middle ground between the two.

Good for you! I think the trick is to make good choices most of the time and not beat yourself up for the times you make not so good choices.
