So how fast does a Gazelle run anyway?

Pretty dang fast I know that.

Seeing as one of my goals is to run again, I'm planning on Sunday going to the local High School or University to time a mile walk/jog. It will be nice to log that somewhere so I can see my improvement over the next near.

Ultimately its up to Coach TIA to determine if my soon to be speed qualifies for running. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I am jogging/walking now and I'm really beginning to enjoy it. It's not something I would have ever thought possible for me no matter how much weight I lose. I know we can do this!!! I'm doing this about twice a week if I can, and I've already improved so much! Let's do it!!!

    Best wishes to you, Jyant! I did my marathon by walk/running and still do that on my workouts. I started out with a walk 4/run 1 (minutes) and now I'm down (most days) to a walk 1.5/run 1 - and I try to get in a few walk 1.5/run 1.5 or walk 1/run 1 cycles when I can. I find it is a lot easier on my knees this way. When I get down to a standard one minute walk recovery, I'm going to focus on increasing my run times 30 seconds at a time.

    There's a Spark Team called "Jeff Galloway Training for any Length Race" that uses the Jeff Galloway walk/run method for training. I know a few people who are runners who have switched to this method and say they get much better times on their races with it.
