What am I putting in my body?!?

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Today, I just started thinking about what I've really been putting in my body. Greasy Pizza.. Greasy Hamburgers.. fat filled mayonaise and cheese. When I eat pizza, I eat like 4 pieces. When I eat fast food, I'll get a big hamburger, with fries, and a soda. When you really think about all that crap going into your body, its disgusting. All that fat and grease and stuff...
I think every time I want to eat something unhealthy, I'm going to think about how its going to clog my arteries and sit in my body and turn to nasty fat. Then, maybe I won't want to eat it.
No more extra cheese for me, thanks! No more 4 pieces of pizza! No more greasy, huge, fast food cheeseburgers for me!
Now I kinda want to go take a bath... lol

I love this! Have you read the book "Skinny Bit**"? It totally talks about al of the crap that's out there and what it does to you, and it madeME want to take a bath, so I know what you mean! emoticon

I think you're making emoticon progress and I'm so happy for you! Nothing feels better than taking control of your own body! Good luck on the rest of your journey! I hope to be right there with you in Summer 2011, all bikini-d up and lovin' it!

The internet has put all of this information at our fingertips, and yet we STILL indulge in fast food. It's amazing! YouTube will show you some pretty nasty stuff... including the fact that McDonald's food is over preserved. It's disgusting! French fries never turn colors or mold. ewwww. Yet I had some this week *giggles*

Oh...as for the pizza you can get pizza without cheese. I have grown fond of a small, thin crust, no cheese, green peppers, onion, mushrooms, and olives pizza. :) Still hits the spot the same as a large supreme. Just no cheese, meat, and excessive bread.

I agree! If you think of food that way, it really makes you think about what we're doing to our bodies when we eat bad stuff!...It is gross when you think about it! Nice way of thinking about it. I think I'll try that too! :)

Well done and good luck. You are so right though, the calories really mount up along with the fat and sodium in particular when you have a fast food diet.

Welcome to the world of good diet choices, and good health.

You are right. Those foods are not good for you. From what you have written, it appears that you have a lot of hunger and cravings. I have struggled with that soooo much as well.

If you want to learn a lot real fast that will help you understand your hunger and cravings, and eat in a different way to make you healthier and not hungry, without going all "weird", I would suggest you read "You On A Diet." Great book that I am learning a lot from right now. What really excites me about this book is that I have learned that I really should not be so hungry! And it shows me how to take care of that.

Never give up! Each day is another learning experience so we can lose the weight in the end! Yahoo!

YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT ABOUT THE HARM THAT ALL THAT BAD FOOD IS DOING TO OUR BODIES. BEFORE STARTING SPARK I WAS HAVING FAST FOOD 2-3 TIME EACH DAY AND EATING ALL KINDS OF OTHER UNHEALTHY FOODS AS WELL. I NEVER SEEMED TO GET FULL SO I WOULD JUST EAT ALL DAY LONG. I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY FAST FOOD SINCE BEFORE AUGUST 20TH. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND YOU WILL SEE RESULTS. emoticon
