making a few changes. . .

since i'm at the tail end of my weight loss, i'm making a few changes in my eating and workout plans in order to start focusing on leaning up and toning. one of my big concerns is the loose and puckered skin that's developed on my tummy and thighs. i know that getting rid of this is total 'luck of the draw,' and i know that there's no such thing as "spot exercises". . . buuut i feel that if ANYTHING can help, it's building some lean muscle.
so, i'm going to be upping my protein intake by adding protein powder to my diet. a couple scoops of protein powder stirred in a glass of soy milk after every workout. i'm also going to make sure i get some egg whites and tofu and greek yogurt every day.
i'm also going to start focusing a LITTLE less on cardio (this scares me a little bit, honestly) and a LOT more on strength training and weights. my goal is to start lifting free weights, and to establish a hardcore leg workout. this will entail lots of circuits of squat and lunge exercises (my most hated exercises!!!), jump rope, and sprint intervals.
i'm nervous about weight gain due to muscle, but my overall goal (at this point) is to make my body look great (clothed and unclothed, lol!). and now that i'm at such a healthy weight it is time to start toning up!
any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated!
