Zumba

I finally understand the Zumba craze!! My DVDs came on Friday, and I tried it for the first time yesterday. I started with the Basics DVD, which teaches you all the basic moves that you need. It moves a little slow, and I was getting bored, so I decided to just try the 20-Minute Express DVD. It was a little hard to follow without knowing the steps, but I enjoyed it more that way. I am pretty uncoordinated, so I'm sure I looked nothing like I was supposed to, but that's ok with me haha. At one point, Beto says something like, to start, you might look like this (does awkward, stiff movement) and I laughed because that was probably about what I looked like. I know I was not moving to the beat at all haha. For this reason, I probably wouldn't want to try a class until I am more comfortable with the moves. I don't care what I look like at home, but in a class, I think I would be self-conscious and not put as much into it. But anyway, it was really fun, I got my heart rate up, and I was really sweaty by the time I finished. I really felt it in my abs! I'm looking forward to doing more soon (hopefully tonight if I get enough of my schoolwork done).

    I have always wanted to try the Zumba videos. It seems fun enough to keep a person motivated.
