The first goal I set when joining Sparks was to lose 50 lbs. I didn't set a time limit, just the weight. Losing weight is so difficult for me. I have 3 chronic diseases, hypothyroidism, and severe arthritis. There are many food restrictions to my diet for various reasons. Exercise is limited due to my size, arthritis, and aortic stenosis. I'm not making excuses, just stating the facts.

I lowered my calorie intake from what Sparks originally set up for me (1500-1800) to 1100 maximum. Today when I got weighed, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I am only 3 lbs. from that goal. I now know that I can pretty easily reach that goal! Thank you Spark Friends for all of your support, motivation, and encouragement. I couldn't have done it without your help!
