On a Roll

Sunday, November 22, 2009

I had a pretty good day yesterday; I met MOST of my goals. If I were to grade myself it would be a "B".

I went to the fitness center and did 45 minutes on the elliptical, 10 on the bike, and a 60 minute weight-lifting class. I'm feeling it today!

HOWEVER, I did not read my cards, I caught myself eating a few things standing up (tasting while I was cooking), and I did not eat dinner at the table. We had leftovers and I had to guesstimate my calorie intake, which I HATE doing. I figure I ate at the high end of my calorie allotment, but with 2 hours of working out I'm OK with that. I weighed 161.5 this morning.

I don't know WHY I find it so hard to read those cards. My goals for today:

Rewrite the cards and amend them as necessary. Continue reading in the Beck book and put up sticky-note reminders in strategic places.

Drink the water, walk 3.5 or more miles, log my food, try to eat at the LOW end of my calorie allotment today, eat at the table.

Boring blog this morning, but focusing on the small daily tasks is the way I lost the first 20 pounds, and I've been in a holding pattern ever since August. Obviously I'm not ready for automatic pilot, so back to what worked.

Have a great day everyone, it's the last Sunday before the holiday season begins so make it count! I've been thinking a lot about Thanksgiving, and I've got a strategy. What's yours? I'll reveal mine tomorrow!

I have decided to eat. One meal, one day is not going to make that much difference. My mom is cooking and her dressing is fabulous. The next day, right back on track.
