Not blogging? GUILTY!

But I have a really really good excuse... I've been sick. Yes AGAIN. But this time, things are different...

My immune system is much stronger, thanks to eating better, drinking more water and less alcohol, and exercising slightly more.

I am feeling more upbeat (thanks to more energy) and not getting down about it.

I started treating this cold EARLY - zinc, Vitamin C, water water water, healthy food, and lots of hot baths and hot tubbing. Plus the all important SLEEP. In fact when I slept for 10 hours on Sunday I *knew* something was wrong - I haven't been able to sleep more than 8 hours lately because I've been feeling so great.

If I am not sleeping, I'm working on something so that I don't get down about missing work. I've really only missed about 6 hours of work this week. I've also watched a few good movies with hubby (who is also sick.)

I'm not going to push it. I skipped dance tonight because I am already tired and have to get up early. Not planning on going out this weekend... at least not until Sunday for a big group lunch with clients and friends.

So here is to being better about taking better care of myself.

Oh and the irony? The thing that pushed us into the sickie zone? We went hiking on Sunday. THAT felt great by the way and I'm not sorry we did!

Until later - this sickie needs to head to bed shortly. Need to get up at 5am for work!

    Good to rest up when you're sick, and good for you for getting all that sleep, it's so restorative, and will get you through this quickly! Soup is also great...warm liquids, drink up!
