Vacation Time should be Joyful – but I am not feeling it….
I have today and Monday off. I should be joyful about that but I am not. I am not sure why. I feel a little “guilty” taking time off when my clients still have to work I guess.
This time of the year there is so much to do and it seems the time goes by so quickly.
By the time the kiddlets leave for the day I have little energy left to do much else but make dinner. I do not have one inch of the house decorated except for propping up the few Christmas Cards that came in the mail this week.
But yet here I am with a Day to myself and feeling guilty about it!
I had planned to go out for the day but having second thoughts, need to check the weather report.
Well I guess I will go take my shower, then spend some time with the Word. That usually makes me feel better.

You're on the right track to go to the Word first. Rest in His arms and He will give you the peace you desire.

I know how you feel! Why do we feel guilty for taking time for us? We need the rest time, the down time, the mental vacation time. I know you will find the peace when you have quiet time.
