Our Birthday Party for Jesus
Saturday, December 19, 2009
Our Birthday party for JESUS was a success. Even with the different ages we were able to involve all. The infant and toddler were able to enjoy the songs and story-time. The pre-school age children helped to make the cake. They played together sharing and caring for each other. The Spirit of the Season can really make the children a little sweeter.
They learned a new “Birthday Song for Jesus” sung to the tune of “Deck the Halls.”
All Parents will receive the access code for the website for more activities that can be downloaded to extend this Celebration.
Besides singing the traditional Christmas Carols the children have been learning 2 other songs. Two of my favorites that I heard on the Gaither’s Homecoming Christmas Program. One is called “Five Little Fingers” they learned the chorus. The other one little E calls the “kissing one” and that is “Mary Did You Know”. I love the looks on their little faces when I sing these songs for them. It is hard to describe with mere words. But it is no wonder at all that they quickly learned the chorus. I thank GOD everyday for leading me to my True Purpose. I may not earn Fortune or Fame, but this opportunity that I have been given – The opportunity to share in the most precious gift on this earth. No accolades, no gold – nothing can compare with the Joy that I have in my heart when I see the twinkle in their eyes when we talk about Jesus.
Thank You God for the best “job” that I can ever hope for, I love you and Happy Birthday!
