On the Road Again...

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Hi everyone,

Had a GREAT visit with my brother. He's a lot of fun and it's been several years since I'v e seen him.

Vandal's done a great job on his vacation since his daughter and son-in-law are healthy eaters -- HOW LUCKY FOR YOU, Vandal! You are a force and I'm so proud of you and your success. Nothing breeds success -- like success!

My brother, however, is NOT a healthy eater. Yesterday he took us out to lunch at a place touted to be Bill Clinton's favorite eatery while governor of Arkansas. My brother ate a 2-pound T-bone steak and a mound of french fries and texas toast -- for LUNCH!

I've done what I could to cook and eat healthy, but it's not been great OR enough, that's for sure. But the good news is there's always another day, another start, another opportunity.
"Fall down seven times get up eight." "It ain't over until I win."

Today TC and I are taking our trailer and heading to Dallas and then Oklahoma City for 6 days. I'm hoping I can get back my diet back on track. We have no more family or work obligations, so we are planning to get back to our no drinking - healthy eating habits. I'm really looking forward to it.

I always enjoy it when I can get a jump on the new year's resolutions!

Sounds like everyone is doing well and hanging in there. Keep up the good work and I'll see you after Christmas!

I like Vandal's comment. Getting back on track immediately is always a good thing! Even if for right now you can just eat mindfully and slowly.

Have a great trip and a great Christmas! emoticon

    Hi TG,

Hope you have (had) a very Merry CHRISTMAS and now let's get ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE PROGRAM.

Why add 2 or 3 pounds between now and new years when we can lose 1 or 2 - that's a possible 5 pound swing!!
