I WONDER
As I watch snow falling softly down
And see children happy with toys
I wonder why anyone would frown
When surrounded by Christmas joys.
As I watch stars twinkling in the sky
And see the moon cast its glow
I wonder why anyone would cry
Knowing Jesus loves us so.
As I watch colored bulbs shade the night
And hear music pleasing our ears
I wonder why anyone would feel fright
As God stands ready to calm fears.
As I watch an angel atop the church steeple
And know love drifts through the air
I wonder why anyone would hate other people
When God has compassion to share.
As I watch happy crowds heading home
And marvel at decorations on a tree
I wonder if anyone wherever they're from
Knows Jesus loves them…and me.
