Christmas is past us now. Or which ever Holiday that you and your family celebrate.
All of the cookies, candies and chocolates are looming on our tables. Leftovers fill our fridge.
Now we have one week before New Years to ponder...."When will I get back on Track?"
Being on track is a long journey. Along the way we always have many challenges. For example. A holiday coming our way. Going out for dinner. Or not quite knowing how to handle a new situation. It really can seem like a dark tunnel looming before us.
Having a food strategy to fuel ourselves
and an exercise plan will keep our bodies fine tuned....and ready to roll!
Along this journey we will have many stops. We will make friends along the way.
And sometimes we will even have friends that go off track for a while.
And when we have those moments when we are at a crossing, we will meet each challenge one at a time.
We just have to remember that there are many times on our journey that we will learn that we can do things that we thought were never possible. Like doing a sprint triathlon. and the moment is beautiful...
And there are moments that life throws you a curve ball and the journey becomes scary. And we are unsure if we can cross that bridge.
Just remember that when we start a weight loss journey sometimes it seems as if you the task is too large. Just take it day by day. Keep the positive attitude. Keep in touch with your spark friends. And you will see....
That you will be able to do this. You just can't give up or expect instant results.
This year I have lost 40 of the 80 I need to lose. I have had many moments where I have veered off track. But the whole way I keep looking in front of me and not behind me. I learn from the journey I am taking, but never dwell about a bad moment or part of this journey. 2009 has been a great year and I am looking forward to 2010 and am looking forward to continuing this journey with my Spark friends.
