Calling all Liquid Dieters!! Please Help...

Im currently on a plan called New Lifestyle Diet which allows 7 100-120 calorie meal replacement shakes, bars, soups, or snacks. This is paired with a "lean and Green" meal in the evening (or whenever you want your meal) Totaling at 1080 calories per day give or take a couple. My problem is that Im not able to get all of these products in during the day. My job prohibits me from eating every 2-3 hours as Im in surgery all day. So I know there are alot of medifasters out there...you guys get to have 5 products per day and a lean and green meal as well...Im wondering if I could just use my NLD program in the same was as medifast works. Have my five replacements per day and my lean and green in the evening. There is not a calorie difference in the supplements and it seems all the other nutrients would be there for me....just less overall calorie intake in a day...Im just not sure what to do. Would I lose at the same rate? Maybe even faster with less calorie intake as if Im on medifast? Anyone else out there on this diet? Your input would be so very much appreciated!
