I hit my goal of 118# on Nov 1, 2007. After that, I pressed on to 115# - for "wiggle room". I maintained for a year, then I allowed myself to get off track over the holidays of '08.
I've yo-yo'd most of 2009 - going as high as 15 pounds over goal.
15 pounds. Eh. You can't really SEE it on me (and if you can, then you need to not look so close)! I feel great about what I've accomplished. Yeah....I'm not at goal, but I adopted a low carb lifestyle that I've succeeded with for 4 years now. I began to run in 2009 and have completed three 5K's. I feel better nearing 40 than I ever did in my 20's. So what is my goal for 2010? It's simple...
That's it. The date in my blog title is the only day in 2009 that I weighed under 120 - my tight jeans and I would appreciate a few more of those under 120 days this year.
I want to exercise more. I've made a plan, but don't plan to beat myself up when life squeezes all the gumption out of me. I WILL register for some races - just to make sure I DO continue to run. I have my eye on 3 so far and plan to "up the ante" with a 10K.
So...looking back over the past year, I've done well. I consider myself a maintainer. To reattain goal weight ISN'T my goal, but just doing better and continuing to maintain a healthy lifestyle IS.
I can and will do better!
