Turning frustration into something pleasurable.

Yesterday I was suppose to go snow shoeing with my brother John, my sister in Law amyjeanhealthy, and my daughter. We were already running late. My sister in law was ready to go and had already called to see what was up. So I asked my dd to throw my shoes in my car. See I keep my shoes in my car, but she used mine the day before and left them on my front porch. So we finally get to my brother's house and I go to get my shoes. Nope, they are on my front porch. So I leave dd there and I am ticked. But I tell her that I know how to work out by myself and I will just go with Joey at home and then come back to pick her up.
I got home. Put my shoes on and head out to the power lines. We go 12 telephone poles distance. There are 2 good hills. I go to the bottom of the hill and trudge back up. I am sweating like a mad woman. Stopping to drink some water on the way up. My bad mood disappeared so quickly... Why. Well look at this face. While he was running it looked like he was smiling at me.
So the next time your plans get a wrench thrown at them, try to find a different plan that will work for you....A year ago I probably would have looked at no shoes being divine intervention telling me that I needed a day off. Now I look at it as another hurdle that I can get over. And I did!
