Feeling It

I'm really enjoying the Spark book much more than I thought I would. I thought it would be a big ol' commercial for the website but it's very positive and upbeat, and it's working to renew my fight on flab.

A new semester started yesterday, and I always love the first day of class -- all those excited shining faces out there ready to go! It's a blast.

I've arranged my schedule to accommodate ME, which is something I rarely do. For the first 8 weeks I'll be going in later so I can do my exercise first thing in the morning. I'm a morning person, so why shouldn't I use that high energy time for me?

MWF I'll be getting on the treadmill by 6:30 am and to school by 9:00, and on T/TH I can get to the fitness center by 7:30 for an hour on the elliptical and PowerPump class and still get to work by noon.

The second 8 weeks I pick up a couple extra classes, so the morning exercise thing won't happen, but I'm not worrying about that yet.

A NEW GOAL: I have a slinky little black dress that I bought for a wedding in 2000 when I weighed 136 pounds. I've never had the heart to give it away because it fit me perfectly and I looked SO INCREDIBLY HOT! TC and I are going on a cruise in May and my goal is to be able to wear that dress. I've got it hanging in my closet as a reminder and motivation to STAY THE COURSE.

I'm still fighting the weight I gained over the holidays, but it's coming down and I'm confident I'll be in new territory by the end of January. I've had ups and downs but I'm still in the game. Remember everyone, IT ISN'T OVER UNTIL WE WIN!

    Great job TG! What a motivator for your cruise and I know you'll make it with that incentive.

    You are doing an awesome job and I guess I better order the spark book!

    I'm also jealous about the points you are getting - I'm still stuck on the one to five (5 is very rare!!). You must be doing something right!
