Just completed The Ultimate Tae Bo and that one kicks some butt!! I actually did much better than I thought I was going to do, cause 2 challenges arouse towards the beginning....
1. My Son decides he wants to cook himself some turkey bacon. No biggie. But, then, after a few minutes I notice the room is seeming a bit smokey, so I turn around to look (I workout in the dining room area), and the air is one big cloud of smoke! My Son 'thought' (he doesn't ever read directions) bacon got cooked on HIGH!!
Once I had him turn the stove fan on and open the kitchen window, wide, I was able to focus back on what I was doing. It's impossible to do Tae Bo with your nose and mouth buried in your shirt!!
2. Then, maybe another 10 to 15 minutes go by, when the next challenge came to pass. My puppy is in the dining room looking out the window (those windows go to the floor) and she spots a squirrel. It was probably a cross between the smokey air and being excited over seeing the critter..but she starts to snort/hyperventilate, maybe?? Hard to explain. Anyway I stop and go rub her sides and talk her through it, till she goes back to normal. She's totally fine. She doesn't bark at anything..just whines in excitement, as she loves EVERYTHING and EVERYONE and expects it to always be returned with as much enthusiasm!
Sooo, after all those side line distractions were over and done with, my focus was back 100%! And I soon discovered (after I checked my HR monitor results) that I did BETTER, this time, than I had done the 1st time I did it on Sunday!
In terms of calorie burn, I burned an extra 45 more calories. And in terms of endurance, I was able to push myself harder, yet not feel over exerted! My body, heart, and lungs are REALLY improving by leaps and bounds, in just these 2 weeks!!
Here are today's numbers.....
1hr 30 minutes!
1 hr 26 minutes 'in zone'!
Average HR 131
Max HR 165!! That's called workin' it!!
Calorie burn 600!!!!
