Running with the gang

As far as Tuesdays go, this one could have been a LOT better. It started out great but then the alarm went off and the day went downhill from there. I was slow getting moving, late for work, overwhelmed by crap I couldn't get done yesterday because I spent the day with a trainee.... then I overdid it on chocolate covered caramels..... I feel fat, fluffy, crabby and crampy. Oh yeh, guess what else happened today? LOL. Tuesdays aren't meant to be this way. That's what Mondays are for.
Thankfully, I had a run with my HM group this evening (Team 1). We did a nice steady 5.6 (should have been 6) kilometer run. It kind of hurt because we started out with a hill and my shins HATE when I do that but it eventually improved. READ: I finished and got to sit down LOL
Good news is: I figured out a long time ago that the best part of running in the winter is that you can ice and run at the same time.
Good stuff that happened today:
I drank lots of water.
I ate lots of fruits and veggies.
I ran 5.6 km in 38 minutes burning 350 calories.
Everything else *sigh* is now officially forgotten.
