Consistent, not perfect!

I'm a numbers gal, so for me, the scale is an honest "friend" who helps to guide me, but doesn't rule me. That being said, I've set a maintaining range with the highest weight being my "oh my....we need to reel it back in" number. Well....I way surpassed that number and hit 10 pounds over that number last September. Since then, I've lost 11 pounds and have doubled my wardrobe as a result - as my pants once again button. It's amazing what a difference 11 measly pounds can do for a 5-foot nothin' girl.

All along, I've said that consistency has been my "secret" to success. Although I'm a perfectionist at heart, I've learned in order to lose weight and maintain I need to be consistent, but I also need to be OK with those times when life happens and thwarts my efforts.

My New Years resolution was simply to "do better" - and I have. I've been within my maintaining range for over a week now and am very proud for making the extra effort to fight off the munchy monster and exercise more.

I'm going into spring this year healthier than I was last year at this time. I have some 5 and 10K's in mind for this summer. I'm excited about what the upcoming year has to offer me - and I plan to grab onto life with both hands enjoy every moment of the ride. Can't wait to share it all with you!!
