#244: Finding Happiness Among Obstacles
Sunday, February 28, 2010
In a response to yesterday's blog, "Fulfilling Our Potential," TEDYBEAR2838, introduced me to a man who was born with no arms and no legs but who is an overcomer.
If you can watch this video without crying at this young man's positive can-do attitude, you are a stronger person than I am:

This link shows how he cares for himself doing everyday tasks such as grooming and using a computer. His story will fascinate and inspire and make us believe we truly can find happiness among obstacles:

Nick says we may fail but "it's not the end. It matters how you are going to finish. Are you going to finish strong?"
Yes, we will have days where we fail at our weight loss and exercise programs. We will even have days we fail as a person. But it's not the end. We must stand upright and forge forward toward one more positive day.
It is our reaction to a failure that will make us strong and determine whether we will emerge as the champions we all can be.
If a man without limbs can overcome his trials, what do we need to fear? With God's blessings and our own self-determination, we can succeed.
Believe it!
