a lil somethin new...

Friday, March 05, 2010

i started taking these fiber gummies that i saw advertised in oxygen magazine and you can find them in the fiber aisle at Target... you're supposed to take 2 a day. so i've been taking them as soon as i get home from the gym every morning, right before i cook up my oatbran with blueberries...
and i've been doing this for about 4 weeks now, and i'm feeling really good. just wanted to say that if you're not taking a fiber supplement, and you feel like you might need one, i'd definitely recommend this one. works well and it doesn't make you uncomfortable at all. just wanted to share that with all of you... lol.

also, i'm trying to focus on how i feel and how my body is responding to my workouts and nutrition instead of focusing so much on the number on the scale. especially because i've been focusing more on my strength training, and i know that muscle weighs more than fat, and i don't want to get discouraged if i jump on the scale and i'm up a pound and a half or something. yep, so i'm going to prolly hop on it every friday morning... see where i'm at... but keep working hard and tuning into how my body FEELS.

i'm also aiming to 100 crunches and atleast 30 oblique crunches (per side) daily. i seem to get quicker definition that way, and it makes me feel happy lol

alright, well, it's friday! and i have to hurry and get ready for work! have a great weekend!!!

much love,

I'll have to check those gummies out! It sounds like a great way to add fiber & help you feel full. Oatbran is great too, I dig it too.

My body has a pretty good way of reminding me to increase the fibre intake (if going to the bathroom becomes uncomfortable, you know it's time! LOL) I have actually seen those gummy bear fibre things, it could work as my candy fix too! Win-Win!

Remember, your abdominals are no different then any other body part, over training won't necessarily provide faster, better results! Since I've been regimented in my wright training, I rarely ever do more then 50 crunches per workout! It seems to be my magic number :)

Do what feels right! You've got a great plan!!! WORK IT!

Thanks for the 411 on the fiber gummies. I may need to get me some. Also, I'm super impressed with all the core training you are doing. I absolutely hate core work. Great job!

Hey Wendi - good blog - fiber seems to be the one thing that most of us overlook. I usually throw a little Benefiber into my coffee, which seems to work best for me. Also, it's important to note that fiber helps you feel "fuller" when you eat, so it's good to take some fiber supplements approx 20 minutes before eating a meal (with a glass of water).

And keep up those core exercises -- God knows I desperately need to do them!!!
