Conquiring the rain

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

In the past, if it was cold or icky outside I wouldn't go out unless I had to. When I started training for my 5k I was running in 20 degrees with snow and ice on the ground. Now today was a challenge that I felt proud of. I did my training in 39 degree rain with snow and ice still on the ground. My glasses were drenched and my legs were cold, but I kept on going. When I try to pump myself up I keep saying, "We can do this". That is what I kept telling myself this morning before and during the run. I said feel how accomplished you will feel and how you can tell people you did it! I did it!!!!! My hair, clothes, and glasses are wet, but I'm still moving! I have conquered the rain! Nothing will slow me down now. Nothing! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

emoticon emoticon Beckyann1. Yeah I wish the mist and fog would go away. More so the rain. We have enough water already with the snow...And it does feel great when you've accomplished any kind of workout. emoticon emoticon

I'm sorry that you aren't having the kind of weather there that we are having here. Everyday this week I've been walking in sunshine and feeling really blessed.
