Reaching the summit

Have you ever put off until tomorrow what you need to be and should be doing today? Decided to take the rougher trail even though harder may be the shorter one?

Well that is me. Don't exercise today or maybe even tomorrow, I can make it up on another. Why not? I'm still getting in my workout minutes. But looking at the fitness chart with my workout time charted it looks like the Himalaya Mountain Range.... when I should be striving for the foothills of The Appalachians. I mapped mine out today since I started Spark People in January and me oh my!

With that being said:
Is that really helping me to accomplish my #1 Goal: Adopt a healthier lifestyle ?

No not really, I'm not building any consistency.

Now I know that sometimes life can get busy and truly there isn't enough time in a day to exercise, but that isn't always true of where I am at. There are days, when I simply DO NOT feel like exercising. In fact, I have noticed it more this month. Maybe because some weight has come off? I think I need to regroup and reevaluate what I really need to do here ...

Be consistent, slow and steady....

Starting right now.... no more dramatic peaks and valleys on fitness graph instead it will look like a gentle hike in the hills. Forget the mountain climbing expedition that is not what I want. I realize now: For sometimes to reach the summit, the gentler steadier trail is the one we should all seek.
