I ran my first 10k on Saturday, finished in an 1:09:29 according to my Garmin, the "official" time is 1:10:something.. whatever.

Huge thanks to RUNNINGWILD for running every single step of the way with me, I can guarantee, that took 5 minutes off my race time in itself. There were so many time I wanted to run just a little slower or take a walk break and I just keep going because I knew she was there running with me.

Next up/goal 1:05:00 or even less than an hour would be super awesome. The 10k running clinic I was in officially ended last night, so I have a few weeks until the next 10k clinic, which I volunteered to pace/group lead.

After the 10k Race I went and donated blood for the first time in my life, it was an experience and oddly looking forward to doing it again.

Other than that, I'm still sucking at tracking, although slightly better than last month. I'm sucking at eating and some of the choices I'm making. I've only been hitting the gym once a week if I'm lucky.. but running 20-30 km a week should offset the negative on that.. if only just a little. I'm stressed for various reasons.. arg... oh well, the only thing I can think to do is try harder.. giving up is NOT an option!

Oh yeah.. and I haven't lost anything. Nothing.

    I assumed it was a chip start/finish as well, I purposely stayed back for a good minute to let things clear out a bit.. I was expecting my time to come in less than the clock time. Oh well, I'm still happy overall :)

    You did wonderful at Diakonos! I am so telling everyone my Garmin time, I was a little ticked off at the posted race results because they must have had a gun start without warning us. Its not the end of the world but when you are working towards personal bests a minute difference means the world to me (or perhaps I am just overly anal about it! LOL)

    I love how honest you are. This is sure better than people who really want to be doing better than they're doing, and so they fudge a little on the positive side in tracking etc.

    I am also inspired by your running, and by the fact that you have a trusty running partner. I haven't been walking/running, and I have any number of possible partners, ergo, gotta tap some friends to walk/run with. I'm going for a walk today, in fact with a friend.

    Re tracking food, what the heck, you either will or you won't. And I don't know how long you've been on SP, but the weight will come off if you continue doing stuff here, at least it has for me. The lifestyle is changing slowly but surely. I've lost a total of 6 lbs so far since Sept! But that's going in the right direction and I'm hardly trying. I would feel bad if I'd gained, so I might as well feel good that I've lost.
