what a BEAUTIFUL day out today!!! perfect out there! so thankful that i had today off.
i had a crazyyy workout this morning. it was my first time training legs in MONTHS and it was nuts. i did shoulders first... felt really good.. and then started on legs. here's what i did:
5 sets/10 reps of squats w/ a barbell across the back of my shoulders (boy do squats make me sweat!)
3 sets/10 reps on the leg press machine with 35 lb plates on it
3 sets/10 reps on the outer thigh machine (70 lbs)
3 sets/10 reps of seated calve raises with a 45 lb plate and a 10 lb plate on it
2 sets/10 reps of 12.5 DB lunges (intended on doing 3 sets, but i had to really dig deep to complete 2 full sets.. and my legs were shaking sooo bad.)
had my protein shake and then got on the arc trainer and did 30 min of cardio (400 cal).
went to lunch at chili's and had an 8 oz. sirloin steak with no sauce/butter, and then requested the steamed broccoli with no butter. drank water. went to target after to pick up a few things, and didn't buy any treats.. (gotta love self control!) and here i am doing some laundry.. gonna go tidy my car up a lil while the sun is still out and might run to tjmaxx see if i can find any cool deals. who knows.
also, it's that TOM for me, and i got really emotional when i went to the grocery store the other day and paid $8 for a box of clementines. for some reason it really bothered me. LOL. but i would just like to say that those things were worth every penny and i don't regret it because they are SO FREAKIN DELICIOUS. i like having 2 a day. they're so convenient and yummy. but yea, sorry, that was really random. lol.
