New Marathon Goal! 26.2 pounds to lose before marathon on 10-10-10

I'm running my first marathon on 10-10-10 in Chicago. 26.2 miles. Quite a big goal. I had an idea that to mark this historic event in my life, I'm going to lose 26.2 pounds. I am setting a goal to lose 26.2 pounds between now and race day, 10-10-10! I had this epiphany last Thursday so I'm going with my starting weight from last week. I'm going to change my weight tracker to match this challenge too. The marathon is 29 weeks away so I think this is a pretty reasonable goal for me. I should be able to slowly and steadily lose about a pound a week. In the past, that's pretty much all my body is comfortable with on a consistent basis. 2 pounds is a great and rare week and any more than that, I can only attribute to sickness or water weight/crash dieting and would expect to see back very quickly. So, here I go. With the same dedication, time, and focus of my marathon training, I start my 26.2 pound journey.
