Recipes and Such

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

I've been looking at recipes on SparkPeople today, thanks to KellyMcDonald (no seriously, thank you). I was reminded just how good healthy food can be. It isn't all deprivation and calorie counting.

(The fruits and vegetables are only pictured for the purpose of this post. There are no such things in my house at the current time due in part to lack of $ and part to love of Little Debbie. This will be remedied upon the next shopping trip.)

I uploaded a few of my favorite recipes as well. If you get a chance to check them out, you can find them here... Enchilada Style Chicken: recipes.sparkpeople.com/
. World's Best Cheeseballs (made skinny): recipes.sparkpeople.com/
. Vanilla Frapuccino Smoothie: recipes.sparkpeople.com/
. Hope you enjoy those!

So, I'm still nervous as hell about taking these steps. I've tried so many times before and failed. I don't want to fail. I want to lose the weight and get healthy again. I want to transform myself and my life in a lot of ways. I want to "Reclaim" it (its kinda my thing).

I managed to not drink Coke again today. God help me, I didn't drink Coke. I nearly had a conniption fit, but I did not drink Coke.

I plan to do some stretching soon, and here is yet another journal entry. 2 days in. So far... success.

Glad it helped to see some spicy full-of-flavor recipes! This is a journey for a LIFETIME so any little changes you make and keep as your standard will have long-lasting results! Slow food, slow weight loss and moderate exercise is the plan!

I am so proud of you, too! Diet coke will be the last thing I change! LOL!

I am so proud of you and your non-Coke-drinking self! It's a long journey and I'm sure we'll all have bumps in the road ahead, but if we hold hands and help each other along, we can climb over the bumps with no problem. I'll be here for you when you need me =)
