I consider today's run an experiment in so many ways but it was ultimately enjoyable. First of all, I wore my running skirt for the first time and I am in love!!! I LOVE IT!!! No, its not pink and I am sure you are shocked by that. I hate running in shorts cuz I am always dealing with you know...shorts creep. With the skirt I don't give a rip with what the attached shorts are doing underneath LOL.
I purposely made this a short run but I wanted to make it a fast one to mimic 5k running although I ran 3 miles as opposed to 3.1. I like nice rounded numbers like that as I am OCD afterall LOL. As you can see my first split is 10:07 which is record time for a mile. Sorry, can't do any faster, folks. I did NOT run intervals this run which is very unusual for me as I wanted to do straight running. I did however walk a few times for just a short time especially towards the end.
As you can see that my splits had a gradual decline with each mile but that is what I expected since I did NOT run intervals. I am going to try and have one of these short fast runs every whipstitch just to see if it helps me run 5k races. if anyone would like to chime in on this, please do.
