For the past several weeks, I have been struggling with adjusting from the 'losing' side of weight loss, into the sloooow climb towards maintenance mode. I'm still stuck at the bottom of the hill! But, thanks to a new Spark Friend, my head seems to be clearing, and I'm now able to shift gears, a bit easier, now!
So, my 'plan' is a couple different things...
1. Eating more!
Don't know why this is so tough!? I am on a 'weight loss' site, am I not?? That must mean, I know HOW to eat!
I'm hoping by cycling my calories, daily, this might help me to build some higher calorie menus.
2. Stop with the constant need of having a 'scale' loss, each and every week! I have reached a point where I don't HAVE to lose more weight. By allowing this to happen, I'm preventing myself from "shifting gears", as I'm craving to do. So, to help this one along, I have switched my weight tracker from 'scale' mode..into a 'Body Fat' one. Sure, to create it, I had to tell Spark I was 2' 3" tall and want to weigh 16 pounds!
But it worked and Spark now considers me a little person!!
My 'plan' is to take this next phase at a snails pace. That one will be hard, as I'm terrible with waiting for things!
But it HAS to happen, if I'm to ever become a success with my nemesis...Maintenance!
To start out with the (climb) I've come up with these cycling numbers...
40% C/35% P/25% F
This means my 'average' calorie amount, for the entire week, would be 1668. That should be about perfect for a slower fat loss target. I'm gonna attempt (almost) the Zone percentages, as this results in a more reasonable Carb & Protein count, per day. I also like how it keeps my Fat numbers up a bit on the higher size, as I am able to enjoy my most favorite food...Peanut Butter, in bulk! Yum, Yum, Yum!!
As I sit here, though, I can tell all these adjustments, are gonna take some time to get going. I just ate my mid day snack, so I'm feeling full. Yet, I still have to squeeze in dinner and evening snacks, and it is already 5:30pm! I'm in trouble!!
Oh, yea, one issue that resulted in making myself 2' 3" tall, is that Spark re-calculated my BMR and it fell from the 1567 amount, all the way down to 762, is all!!
So there goes my deficit calculation, cause it now reads me in a surplus! Oooops! And, this way, Spark says it will take me till August, to lose 2 pounds!!
It's tough being short and only 18 pounds!
