Week 2, Day 2 P90X

Monday, April 19, 2010

Looking forward to Plyogenics tonight. Preparing with lots of water today, I didn't drink enough last week and it killed me. I thought I was gonna throw up for most of it. We also brough a fan into the room so between more water and a fan circulating the air we should fair better this week than last.

Having cottage cheese with strawberries before leaving work. A nice, light, energy-packed snack about 90 min before the workout.

Didn't have a HR monitor last week so not sure how many calories to expect but I've been pleasantly surprised by the calories burned during each workout. Yesterday's chest, back and abs only burned 515 but the 2 days before I burned 780 each day. I'm expecting 800+ today if I can keep up with Tony.

My heart rate monitor tells me how many calories I'm burning in any given workout. You enter weight, age and gender. It checks base heart rate and then based on how fast your heart is pumping, it calculates your calories burned.

I never knew how many calories those workout burns. How do you calculate that? I do P90X also but not asa a program. I add them into my DVD rotation and I only do Kenpo, CardioX (my fav), Plyo and synergistics (i think it is).. boy that was a killer, and the Ab Ripper X. I know I get a major workout when I do those. I'm not good at following a program to a Tee.

Good luck. Them workouts are challenging.

    Karen,

You must be so proud of yourself for sticking to the program!! You have amazed me with all that you have accomplished. Keep up the great work and I hope your plan with lots of water and the fan make this round much more enjoyable. It is crazy the number of calories you have been burning...truly amazing!

    Have a great night!

Have fun with it tonight. Those workouts (P90X - and also Insanity) seem super intense, but you must feel great after getting through one. I plan on trying Insanity someday. Have to be in better shape to even think about starting it though.
