Wednesday, April 28, 2010

I'm not sure if I'm measuring my waist correctly..is it supposed to be an inch above the naval or directly on the naval? I've been doing it directly on the naval and my measurements are now 36"..I'm 5'4 and about 143-144 lbs..does this sound accurate? lolz..here are my full measurements

Height: 5'4
Weight: 143 lbs
Chest: 34"
Waist: 36"
Hips: 40.5"
L/R Thighs: 20.25"
L/R Arms: 12.5"

Right above the navel but under the lowest portion of the ribs. Some people's ribs fall low so that it lands across the navel.

Hips, measure where the butt is farthest out.

    Arms down by sides.

When I measure I do just about an inch above the navel for waist. I think this is more your "true" waist. Even though most women aren't wearing those crazy high waisted pants anymore! Thank Goodness! LOL

Either way, just make sure you measure the same spot each time, so you have something to compare.

You are doing wonderful~Keep it up! emoticon

Im not sure either. I usually measure at the largest part which is right around the navel, and for the hips I do two measurements- one at the hips and one around the butt. emoticon
