Getting down to business...

I had a good weekend. Danced on Friday night, spent part of Saturday shopping with a friend, then more dancing, and Sunday I ventured out to the outdoor market and walked around.
I picked up some fresh herb plants that I'll put into a small planter which I can bring in and out each season, so I'll have fresh herbs to cook with. Yum. Parsley, chives, rosemary, oregano and basil. Yum Yum.
I brought my camera with me, with the intention of snapping some photos along my way, but didn't because the batteries died. LOL. I was in a shopping area, and was too lazy to go buy some new ones. Oh well. I guess I just wasn't in the mood to take pictures.
I wasn't particularly careful about what I ate this weekend. I know that I didn't go overboard, though. I did notice that I was craving salt. I'm glad I got that out of my system. I prepared a giant bowl of salad that I've packed for lunch today, and will have for lunch tomorrow and possibly Wednesday as well. When I get home I'll have a tasty dinner that will consist of pork meatloaf, mashed potato and yummy asparagus. I've been drinking my water too!
When I was out dancing this weekend, a friend of a friend joined us. She was stunning, and had a wonderful personality. Her body shape (figure) was the same as mine when I was her age. I thought to myself that if I dedicated myself, and worked hard enough, I could work at making myself look that good again. It'll take time, hard work, and dedication. I can do it.
So armed with these images fresh in my mind, I'm going to re-dedicate myself. Ok, so I know that I've done the whole commitment and dedication spiel before, and each and every time, I really did mean it, just like I do this time. Now comes the part where I answer the questions that I asked on Friday... so let the thinking begin.
In any case, I'm off to a good start. The readout on the scale said 254.8 this morning. That's a drop from last week's weigh-in, and I'm happy.
The plan tonight is to get home, have my dinner, let it settle and then put in 20 minutes on the elliptical machine, and do some strength training.
Life is good.
