I had a pretty good week. I made good use of will power and of determination, of course, it helped that I had no bread in the house all week (bread is evil).
I weighed in yesterday, and the scale showed a 7+ pound drop in one week. I know that there are people who will think that I starved myself, but I can assure you that it was the following things that contributed to the huge loss:
1. I did not eat ANY bread (bread is evil).
2. I did cardio (walked and danced) throughout the week.
3. I drank all my water every day.
4. I logged everything that I ate.
5. I controlled my food portions and stayed as close to my recommended intake as possible.
6. I kept a positive outlook.
I actually did go over the recommended food limit three times. But only by an average of 250 calories.
So now it's kids' week, and the real test of my will power and determination will begin. I made evil bread last evening, and I had a slice. I also had a very thin slice this morning with my breakfast. It's sitting on the counter, beckoning to me to go have another tasty slice of its evilness. I have decided that I will prevail! I'm putting it in a plastic container so that I can't see it! LOL.
It's also raining outside, which means that I'll have to rethink my strategy for the weekend. I had planned on going for a walk it town, to take pictures at the annual tulip festival, but that's not going to happen with all this dreary rain. What's worse -- they are calling for flurries tomorrow. YUCK.
I'll get some time in on my elliptical machine this weekend in lieu of walking.
I went for a walk at lunch time yesterday, and took more photos. This time I went in the opposite direction of my last walk. I walked about the same distance. It was great.
Here are some photos that I took along the way.
