Oh my goodness, what a way to celebrate Mother's Day! While I was running this LSD my floors were being mopped and carpets vacuumed. My hubby is a keeper! This run was awesome and it just felt so great and an amazing feeling of accomplishment personally. I went supplied with water, fuel and various gadgets and gizwitchies needed for a sustained run. It even included a stop at the convenience store for fresh water and potty break.

I was originally planning on 9 miles but at the end of 9 I made the decision to go just a little longer. My legs felt great the temps were perfect and it just felt right. I also had the pleausre of trying out Gu Chocolate Outrage for the first time and that stuff is YUMMY!! I felt like I was eating brownie batter just like others said. Most importantly, it gave me a new burst of energy that is needed when going these distances. I burned a crapload of calories with a total of 993 calories. Woot!

This week will now be on the lighter side for recovery purposes and will be as follows. Tuesday will be about 3 quick miles with Friday at 4-5 miles for a total mileage to be in the 17-18 miles range. Perfect!

I want to wish all of my mom friends a very Happy Mother's Day and if you live in our area...enjoy this glorious weather today! Until Tuesday...

Toodles!
