Yup, my garden definitely needs some work....
Conversastion with my youngest son yesterday morning:
Son: I'm going to cut the grass.
Son: Can I just rip everything in this section out? (referring to the back yard)
Son: Mom, it's a mess, it'll look much better if this whole patch is just grass.
Me: Um... I have flowers growing in that patch.
Son: They're ugly!
Me: They're my poppies! I'm not getting rid of them.
Son: What about all the other crap in there? Aren't they all weeds?
Me: Yes, they are, but they're pretty.
Son: Fine, I'm only going to cut the front lawn.
LOL. The front garden needs to be weeded too, but the weeds are contained in the flowerbed -- and I will eventually get to them. He really doesn't like the back yard, though. So this morning, I had a look, and took some pictures. While I was out there, I realized that maybe I should get around to doing some weeding.... it's a little unruly. LOL.
Here are some photos.
The pretty flowers I have growing back there:
These are weeds:
So I've put on my grubby clothes, and I'm going to eventually go out there and do some weeding. I am procrastinating, though... I have to wait until I transfer the bread dough in the bread machine into bread loaf pans, and then I'll have about 40 minutes of working time before I have to come in to put the bread in the oven. (Yes, I am making evil bread -- for the kids' breakfast and lunches this week.) I have made a promise to myself that I will not overindulge with the bread!
Bleh. Maybe the skies will open up and it'll start to rain before I get a chance to get out there... it is overcast, afterall! LOL.
Oh! One more photo that I wanted to share earlier this week, but never got around to it... I was waiting for the 2nd bus (I transfer to get to work), and looked up at the sky and spotted this.... I took a photo because I thought it looked like a foot.... lol..
