Is it even possible?

Friday, May 28, 2010

I'm officially a college student!! YAY!!

But now how do I fit everything in.
I'm a mommy, wife, student and BFF all while trying to be healthy. Is it even possible??

So here's the rundown, my school is and hour away from my house and my classes this course are from 1 to 4pm, I need to find a job (very hard to do in my town) all while still being there for my kids and keeping a decently clean house, have some small piece of a social life and fit in a workout with enough energy left over at night to enjoy hubby's company emoticon

How is it done?? Can I download a schedule online that neatly packages life into hour blocks?? Do I need to find an assistant to keep me on track?? Is there a store that sells extra time??

I know this isn't exactly a blog...

More like a cry for help emoticon

First, congrats on going back to school. Hopefully that will turn into some exciting opportunities down the road for you. Here's a couple of suggestions from someone that has balanced (not always effectively either) school, work and family over the years. First, prioritize what NEEDS to be done versus what you WANT to be done. Second, delegate responsibilities whenever possible. Third, maintain a healthy selfishness by allowing yourself time to workout and stay fit...you will be much more productive and your entire family will be much more happy if you do. And lastly, accept that sometimes things won't get done, but as long as you've done your best you can sleep well at night and try again tomorrow.

Good luck and always keep your family #1!

Please let me know if you find a store that sells extra time I will be severally in need as well next month. I will be starting school too, 5 days a week 7 1/2 hours a day. I feel your pain trying to make time for everything. But we are strong females we will figure it out surely. Good luck!
