The month of May 2010 was my first full of month of Spark People, and several positive things happened for me during the month.
1. I learned about how to use Spark People. The most important thing I learned was that i am on a journey of learning about how to eat and exercise.
2. I am learning about my limits for fitness. I pushed myself especially in the last week to see where my limits were at, and I will hit 1,000 minutes for the month. I did the 1 mile fitness walking test, and I finished in 13:02 and I was 12 seconds off of excellent.
3. How important drinking water is to my overall health. It is a discipline that I did not have in fact I am sure that if I drank 2 glasses of water it was a good day. it is like after a month I crave water.
4. Motivation is really important and keeping in touch with others is a good way to keep me motivated. I appreciate getting input from others, and I know I need to get better about giving encouragement to others.
The results of this month is I have a lot more energy, I feel good about the adjustments of eating better, more vegetables is the main improvement. I have lost 7 lbs which I was hoping to lose more, but I know that I am in for a long haul, and step by step is better instead of larger chunks. Thanks to everyone that has helped me this month to get on track with Spark People
