The month of May 2010 was my first full of month of Spark People, and several positive things happened for me during the month.
1. I learned about how to use Spark People. The most important thing I learned was that i am on a journey of learning about how to eat and exercise.
2. I am learning about my limits for fitness. I pushed myself especially in the last week to see where my limits were at, and I will hit 1,000 minutes for the month. I did the 1 mile fitness walking test, and I finished in 13:02 and I was 12 seconds off of excellent.
3. How important drinking water is to my overall health. It is a discipline that I did not have in fact I am sure that if I drank 2 glasses of water it was a good day. it is like after a month I crave water.
4. Motivation is really important and keeping in touch with others is a good way to keep me motivated. I appreciate getting input from others, and I know I need to get better about giving encouragement to others.

The results of this month is I have a lot more energy, I feel good about the adjustments of eating better, more vegetables is the main improvement. I have lost 7 lbs which I was hoping to lose more, but I know that I am in for a long haul, and step by step is better instead of larger chunks. Thanks to everyone that has helped me this month to get on track with Spark People

    emoticon glad it was a good month. Just look at 7 pounds of butter and you will see how much that looks like. I learned that in WW. Make a visual. Or carry 7 #s of potatoes around and you will see when you put them down how much lighter you feel.I think 7 pounds is emoticon they say to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week and you that emoticon It is amazing how you get thiristy after consuming more water. It used to be we always thought we were hungry when our body was actually thirsty.Good job on more emoticon emoticon emoticon they are really good for you.

    Praise God and congratulations. It definately is a life changing experience as well as a learning one. Way to go on the walking test that is great.     You have done great! Congratulations! Glad you found Spark and glad you have stayed plugged in! Your water intake is great. I think the month of may was a great jump start for ya! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your hard work will pay off and you will look and feel amazing!
