May Re-Cap, Calgary Marathon 10k, and whats next
Monday, May 31, 2010
Just a quick recap of May. Things have been going fairly well, not sure of my weight at this moment, but I was down to 232 last week, which is inching closer and closer to where I want to be.
Pacing this 10k Clinic has been wonderful and painful at the same time. I really love to help and inspire people, but I also want to meet my goals. I haven't been putting up the mileage I would have liked, as I pace the faster of the more gradual group They split the clinic into an advanced group and gradual/1st timers group. The first timers only run 50% of the distances during the week and barely make it up to 10k by race day, its meant for people who simply want to complete it. I have been pushing the speed a little, so that has been nice, but can only push these guys so much ;)
This clinic ends June 8th, which is the same day my new 1/2 Marathon Clinic Starts :) Little nervous about it, but that has nothing to do with the running aspect LOL, anyway... moving on. I have accidentally signed up for Melissa's 22k AND 10k, so I'm going to give the 22k a shot, but we will see how that all plays out closer to September. Otherwise I have also signed up for the Victoria 1/2 Marathon in October!
This past weekend I ran the Calgary Marathon 10k and scored a Personal Best time of 1:08:11, I'll take it :) (Previous was 1:10:30 ish(official time))Next 10k race is loops for troops on June 20th, where I hope for 1:06:00 or better.
P.S. Life is wonderful :)))
