I wrote a whole blog this morning, and then added some photos... when I clicked on "post blog entry" my explorer froze up and when it restarted, the photos were posted, but not the blog.. LOL. Oh well...
So, here's what I intended to post this morning....
The weekend was great. It started off with me spending about 40 minutes with a friend who has moved nearly 1000 km away. He stopped by my office to pick up a CD I made for him for his drive to the east coast. We talked and said our "farewell for now" and hopefully (I really, really hope) we'll see each other some time in July (that's the plan, anyway).
I went dancing on Friday night, and then stayed in on Saturday. Spent Sunday changing the chain on my bicycle (it was COLD outside, I was wearing a sweat shirt and long pants! -- except it was actually 'normal' temperature for this time of year -- we've had exceptionally hot weather until now!)....
The plan is to get busy riding that bike now that it's fixed (the chain still skips, but not nearly as badly as it did before). I eventually (in a week or two) want to start riding the bike to work, or rather, part way to work -- to my old office, where I can leave the bike with the other bikes and take a shuttle to my office (work for the same department, different branch, and they have a free shuttle bus that goes from one building to the other). I'm looking forward to the bike riding!
I had the day off work today, and did some running around to get paperwork sorted out, and then I spent the afternoon lounging on my deck in the sunshine. I pulled out my watercolour stuff and did a small painting. (I scanned it and will post it here ... something I planned on doing a few months ago, actually!) I also took some more photos of my garden (the sun was shining so I'm really happy with the way the photos turned out).
I'm sticking to the plan -- drinking all my water, eating properly and getting in my cardio -- seeing progress again, not only on the scale but with my loose clothes and I can see it in my face! YAY!
Here's the photos!
First, the watercolour I drew and then painted (I would say this is my first attempt, even though I did some practicing a few months ago -- they were not very good at all -- this one isn't that great either, but it's a lot better than my practice ones! LOL)
An my garden pictures. I just love my poppies!
