I worked it out real hard yesterday and couldn't believe how much I was actually LOOKING FORWARD to shredding it up with Jillian yesterday. I got home, made the fam a healthier version of a tuna casserole - this time with whole wheat pasta and tons of mixed veggies. They loved it, so did hubbster!
Step 1. Feed the fam -
I was a bit tired after and laid down for just a few minutes ( I didn't eat since I can't tolerate working out on a full tummy), then the little one came in the room and asked "Mama, will you do artsy fartsy with me??" (I know, I'm gross but that's what we call any art activity lol). Who could resist that little face. So I did drawing time with her. A great way to wind down! Checked on the teens and made sure they made their lunches for today, all homework done.
Step 2. Spend time with the kiddos -
Hubby was busy trying to help my mom at her house with a dead car battery so the spending time with hubbs had to be postponed until he was finished. Good things come to those who wait lol!! hehe. I went and locked myself in the room once the kids were all situated and did DAY 3 LEVEL 2! This time I noticed I was barely sore anymore and my stamina was really on the increase! It was great. Don't get me wrong, I still was sweating so much it looked like someone literally threw a cup of water all over my face (I hate sweat, but learning to embrace it as part of this weight loss process). I kept up and then some.
Step 3. SHRED -
It was a good evening. I hopped in the shower with my baby girl and we had lots of laughs. She insisted on bringing in her bath crayons in so she could decorate the wall. I should have taken a pic of her masterpiece. It said " I LOVE MY MAMA" . Awwww.... Had the teens shower while I worked out.
Step 4. De-sweat myself and clean the little one -
Got the little one to fall asleep on my lap while I was brushing out her hair. I find myself still referring to her as the "little one" but she'll be turning 7 on the 17th! Gosh, they grow so fast. Those are the moments that make being a mom so worth it. When you see them totally at peace because all they really want is to be next to you and fall asleep holding you. I love them all dearly of course, but there's just something about that age. I finally ate after I laid her down and it was after 8pm, which was not so good since I try to not eat after 8, but it's ok I guess...I felt like I overate - really packed on the proteins and even had whole grain pasta which I try to stay away from potatoes and pasta but felt it was needed. I ended up slightly under my recommended cal intake range of 1630 and fell short with 1557. Dang it! But I was full and felt like I was eating all dang day long!
Step 5. EAT!!! -
Finally, I spend time with hubby...nice evening for sure =)
Step 6. SLEEP!! haha
OK - now for random ramblings. Well, I'll try to keep it brief since this is long already. I noticed it seems like my body is overall at a higher temp or something. Not like a fever, not the slightest bit sick or anything. Like, I'll just be doing normal stuff and I feel like I get kinda sweaty. I wonder if my metabolism is getting a boost - is that a sign? If it is, I don't mind it in the least but if it's not, well....ick! Haha - I take 2 showers a day now. OK too much info. At least it wasn't bathroom talk!
Plan for the remainder of this week: To continue with planned meals at work and proceed with Level 2 Shred today and tomorrow which will give me 5 consecutive workouts at this level. Since I feel I can now keep up pretty good and the soreness has subsided, I feel next Monday (will take a shred break over the weekend) I will move on up to Level 3!!! Gotta keep on going, keep right on pushin!!! I feel like my arms are getting a bit more defined already and can't wait to see what happens with level 3. Jillian promises to deliver results and I hope I don't fail her. So far I'm feeling very proud over how far I've gotten this far and I WON'T STOP!!
