Visit to the gym

Saturday, June 05, 2010

OK I've finally got my ass into gear and signed up for a 3 month gym membership. Well I won't be able to run before then so I need to do something that keeps me active and motivated.

I got there and signed in, paid the money (ouch that hurt) and went off to see the trainer who struggled to put together a programme for me given the state of my knee. He managed to do an interim programme for me so that it can be updated in a month or so. I duly did my time and came home feeling very virtuous and very hungry.

The good bit of news I've not shared is that they weighed me and guess what.... I'm 13 st 13 emoticon Not been there for more than 10 years. Less than 2st to go and I need to upload my 50lb lost award. Yep it's a good day

Thanks to everyone that's been there for me.

Wow, you are inspiring me! Is the gym close by? Just wondering where they are in the area. You are motivating me to move my ass out of the living room and get out there and do more. Thanks for sharing your victory with us. emoticon

Good news! I hope you enjoy the gym, especially when the knee gets better. Maybe you should build upper body strength and the other leg!!

Yey! Well done! That's such great news.

You're doing so well finding a way to exercise even with knee trouble.
