I did it!!

For the first time, I was able to do a slow (and I do mean slow) jog around the entire park! It's about 1 1/4 miles roughly, and I didn't stop until I reached the end. I am SO excited! Of course, my Achilles was numb during the process, but now it throbs (always does after walking or lawn cutting, so this is nothing new sadly). My chest and breathing felt pretty good throughout. It was more my lower back that was getting sore (no doubt from the tummy bouncing up and down LOL!) It felt like my butt was going to bounce off the asphalt with every step I took, which I've noticed is the biggest discomfort out of everything, but even that went away after away (the feeling, not my butt)
I'm just tickled as can be that I did this. And it was all on a whim. My husband and I were taking our dog for a walk and I decided to just to a slow jog next to them...and then I just kept jogging. People were passing us left and right in their own versions of slow runs (looked like racers compared to me!) and I didn't feel the least bit self-conscious. My gray t-shirt will all darkened from sweating and I just kept going.
This gives me great hope to be able to do this more and more as I get stronger and more fit.
