Day 4

Yesterday didn't go as planned, but was even more successful than I planned! I was on my way to the gym and my dad called. We were in escrow on the house I was living in where I went to school. We had to sell it since I graduated. He asked me to come to his downtown office to sign the closing paperwork. I didn't get to the gym, but I ended up walking around Town Lake in the heat and burned over 600 calories! I was very tired but it's so nice to live in a city with beautiful surroundings again. I've never really been an exercise outdoors kind of gal, but walking really does burn a lot of calories. I used to think the only way to burn calories outside is to run.

Last night I ended up eating 4 out of the 6 activity points I earned. I usually only eat whatever I burned over 4, but another 100 calories won't hurt. Plus, when you're eating less than 1500 calories a day, burning off 600 is a lot and I should probably eat more of my activity points on those days.

Today I'm going to do the workout I planned yesterday. My challenge tonight will be going to a Fogo de Chao-type restaurant. Luckily, I can just pay to eat the salad bar and they won't even give me any meat. I should do fine with that, but I might burn some extra calories so I can nibble on some fried polenta... mmm!
