Did it all today

I'm going back to my WARRVESTS strategy, because if I do everything I know I'm on the right track to losing weight. The challenge is to keep it from becoming a laundry list of obligations "I gotta do." I have to realize these are things I CHOOSE to do because they keep my body operating at peak performance.

W-water. Drink three 24-oz. bottles of water. Sometimes I fill them with Crystal Light. (I hope that's not cheating!)

A - alcohol. None allowed, since it makes my resistance muscle completely go in a coma.

R - read. I have to read something everyday! My cards, or a chapter in The Spark, or the Beck diet solution. I need to connect to one of these every single day.

R - record. I must record everything I eat so I have an accurate picture of the calories I consume. If I could accurately control my calories without recording, I wouldn't be overweight.

V - vitamins. I have osteopenia, so I absolutely must take my calcium and vitamin D. I hate taking pills but oh well, take them anyway.

E - exercise. Do SOME intentional exercise every single day. Work toward jogging that 5K. Continue sessions with the Spandex Nazi as my schedule allows.

S - slow down when eating! It's not a race. When you don't get a lot of food you need to slow down and enjoy it!

T - table. Always eat at the table. No exceptions.

S - snacking. Save some calories for a sensible snack. Jello, a piece of fruit, sugar free popsicles or air-popped popcorn often do the trick.

I had a good day on track today. I read and pondered on the card, "Give yourself credit." I have forgotten to do this in a while. I also went to a Light Yoga class which was wonderful! Can't wait to go again.

    Refresh my memory please, where did warrvests come from? Is that an acronym you designed for yourself or is warrvests a meaningful word in some other area?

    Excellent insight. We love the way we feel when we eat well and exercise well, we like how great we feel about ourselves. Why then do we subconsciously resist these new and wonderful habits we are creating? Geez...........

    .... I'm glad your WARRVESTS works for you.
    Giving yourself credit is a good thing, too. Heck every time you say you've been with the Spandex Nazi, I cringe and give you tons of credit.
    (You do not want to know what I have been envisioning. LOL)

    emoticon I love it....That's what I need ....something that I can actually see ....I love lists...Hmm, let's see now, what will I put on my list....? Love the card, "Give yourself credit." That is an awesome affirmation for any day. We sometimes forget to give ourselves credit for the many positives moves and changes that we have made.

    You did wonderful. To me drinking water does not include crystal light which has chemicals in it and artificial sweeteners. But if it works for you do it. I just hope you do indeed drink some plain water.

    I have something very similar: Anchor of Action. It contains a listing of daily dos that keep me grounded and focused. All parts of it is want to's and good for me to's.
