Summer is here! Plan friendly!

Sunday, June 13, 2010

Now, don`t get me wrong, I hate summer. Espessially in osaka it is legendary for being humid. For example it is 3am and 83% humidity. And being obese has always made summers really uncomfortable with sweating like a pig when I leave my cool box set appartment (my electric bills are sky high).

But the heat has made making food choices so easy. Your appertite decreases anyway, and summer foods start becoming available.

All I want to eat is;
cold noodles of any kind (soba, udon, chuka)
salad
watermelon
ice pops

And when you do eat it`s the most satisfying meal ever.

For example, tonight I went out to eat at a ramen place. I`m really into eating cold noodles so I ordered this new summer special, cold chinese noodles with a sesame sauce. Imagined my delight when it arrived with about 4 cups salad piled on top of the noodles with a fewbits of steamed chicken, so you had to mix all the noodles up with the salad and sesame saucere. That is definetly something to try at home to boost my cold noodle repitoir and get a ton of veggies in a meal.

Now it`s past 3am, as on cours with recent bout of insomnia I am enjoying a soda flaour ice pop. Delicious.

My one pitful is staying away from ice cream type things, like I really love hagen daz and would buy the little individual tubs. I looked the other day and they`re like 250 cals or so, which is alot compared to a 37 cal ice pop...but I figure if I have any cals going spare...treat? emoticon

oh well back to b ed for some sleep before I get up for a run.
