C25K is DONE!!

Today I done the last day of the couch to 5k programe. What a last day as well, it`s 86% humidity and then it started raining (being rainy season and all), an the ast 10 mins it was pouring andI could barely see for the water in my eyes!
But I`ve done every single running session, for the past 9 weeks, I didn`t repeat any weeks but I kept my pace slow.
I can`t believe I`m now running 30 mins non stop. This time last year just running for the train would leave me out of breath, coughing, and sometimes nearly being sick (nasty heavy smoker I was).
Ok I`m not quite running 5k, it`s more like 4k. But that`s my next target to work on, run 5k in 30mins.
I admit I don`t like getting out of bed some mornings, it`s gonna be tough in the summer humidity and it`s time to find a new route to keep things intersting.
But I quite like plodding along, people watching, seeing all the shops prepare to open etc. Plus there`s a 5k to work towards sometime in the autumn.
Oh also, over the 9 weeks my blood pressure has gone from pre-abnormal, to normal ranges, and this morning I went to the doctor after my run and he measured my blood pressure and it was a bit low! Probably a bit dehydrated is all. But no more high blood pressure!!
I am a runner now!!
