Getting back on track

I admit that I have been MIA around here, but after looking at the video my DH made of us on the beach at Hilton Head, I DEFINITELY see the need to re-focus on weight loss. I mean, what was I thinking that I looked OK in a bikini???
So, here I am back to logging everything that I eat and drink and do. I do have a goal of losing 20 pounds. And, I'm not going to say that "I can't lose weight" any more. Because, the truth is, I haven't really been trying to lose weight - I have been exercising so I can eat more, and I have been eating more - thus the weight gain. Truth be told, I don't have any more shorts that fit well, and it's shorts season.
So, here goes nothing.
Yesterday was a rest day for me as far as exercise goes, but I did teach swim lessons for two hours in the morning. Tracked my calories, remained within range, but too much fat grams.
Today was the first long run of fall marathon training. I did 5.9 miles, 11:01 pace, which was really good for me. I am happy with how my running is progressing. As of right now, I'm under my calories for the day by about 600, but I may have underestimated what the calories were in what I did eat, so I'm going to leave this here - no more food today, but some more water.
The marathon training program calls for 3 ez miles tomorrow, but tomorrow is a XT day for me, so I think I'll go to the bike trail, run my 3 miles and then bike my 20-25 miles. All before noon because we are going to brunch with DH's family. I don't really want to go out to eat - they all LOVE to eat out. I just don't - everything is cooked with vegetable oil, or has some form of soy in it, which makes me sick to my stomach for hours. The only way I can control what I eat and make sure that it is soy-free is to cook it myself. Believe me, soy is in everything.
