I've been basically at the same weight, give or take 5 pounds, for the past year.
I've really worked hard to lose weight but I've been inconsistent. I've read so much advice -- cut calories, increase calories, calorie cycle, work out more, work out less but more intensely...I'm totally confused.
So after several months of deliberation I finally took the plunge and bought a GoWear Fit device, which is the armband they use on the Biggest Loser. Another inspiration was Goddess_of_Go, who has used a GWF armband since April 2009 and is now at goal. She reports her results every day on her blog.
I'm hoping to end the confusion about what my body is doing in my weight-loss journey. So far I'm not sure I agree with the website, which says to lose 2 pounds a week I can eat 1800 calories a day (Unheard of for me!) and need to have 60 minutes of moderate activity and 30 minutes of vigorous activity. At the very least mayhbe I'll find out that my definition of "vigorous" isn't really vigorous!
Today is my first day of wearing the armband so I'll let you know what it says tomorrow.
